A  story about a tune.

This is a story about a tune, a song, first composed by Johari Salleh.

He wrote a song   and the lyrics were added by another.

Frankie Cheah with My Dark World, a track from the album "You" released in 1972. The album was produced by Reggie Verghese .

Later the song was "converted" into Malay... :D by Ismail Haron, Singapura's version of Tom Jones.

under the name or title as "Seniman Menangis". The lyrics could be construed as vulgar by Muslims... LOL because he drinks till drunk!... aku minum aku minum hingga mabok. :D :P :)

Later Jamal Abdillah carried the torch with his own version with a change in the lyrics. A milder version of expressing frustrations... I think Jamal only sang his version in a concert, but never recorded it. While playing the piano to boot!!!

By the way, I saw Frankie Cheah singing at the opening of the second Ice Skating Rink at Sungai Wang Plaza. the other performers was (I'll add the name later, cps I forgottenhis name.)

Pictures are not in any particular order....

this also proves that one can learn anything with the internet. Be it musical history, debates or lectures and Quran recitations.
I heard  Wilberforce mentioned during a lecture by Sheikh Hamza Yusuf.

That reminded me of a certain Wilberforce of a certain comic  strip.

But I got confused which strip she was in. I thought she was in “Bringing Up Father.’

Actually she was in “the Born Loser”.

So who was the original Wilberforce  of whom the name was chosen.

I heard during the lecture , that Wilberforce was involve in abolishing  the Slave trade and slave shipping

between Britain and America.

Somebody put me on the road, flat on my back, this afternoon. About 6.30 pm 7th February. Right in the middle of the junction. That kid has panic written all over him... That is why he knocked me down with his sub super bike. I think it was a Kawasaki 400cc something. I broke his fender with my thigh.

I just notice the broken engine part!!!
He hit me right in the middle of my bike! Right where my right foot is on the foot peg and the rear brake pedal is. He tried to cut me off in the front but change his mind, hit me in the middle! OK, both of us were trying to beat the lights. But if he tried to pass me in the back, we'll both be safe. See details in the map. He only have excuses why I hit him. X marks the spot.

DOGMA

dogma

[dawg-muhdog-]

nounplural dogmas or (Raredogmata
 [dawg-muh-tuh(Show IPA)
1.
an official system of principles or tenets concerning faith, morals,behavior, etc., as of a church.
2.
a specific tenet or doctrine authoritatively laid down, as by a church:the dogma of the Assumption;
the recently defined dogma of papal infallibility.
Synonyms: tenetcanonlaw.
3.
prescribed doctrine proclaimed as unquestionably true by a particular group:
the difficulty of resisting political dogma.
4.
a settled or established opinion, belief, or principle:
the classic dogma of objectivity in scientific observation.
Synonyms: convictioncertainty.

In other words, one do not need intellect anymore. Just accept the principles as laid down by whichever ideas one is told to accept.

Funnily, most of the similar terms arise as a result of certain doctrines forcing themselves on to the masses to accept.
