We took this job knowing that we may never get rich.

We 've missed out so many holidays, church/mosque services and special occasions in order to protect lives.

We are expected to work miracles and do things other people are scared to do and even save lives.

It has been proven that our life expectancy is shorter than theirs because of the stress, we  go through and the sickness, we get exposed to, and yet there are no hero movies about us.

We must give our life everyday for people we dont know, have never met before and even those who don't like us.

When our family is home suffering alone, we are out here in the cold, dangerous situations and all in the name of protecting property while  saving lives.

We are warriors who gave oath to die for our people!

*We are ''SOLDIERS''

TO ALL THE SOLDIERS OUT THERE LIVING AND DEAD, I SALUTE YOUR SACRIFICE FOR PEACE AND FOR THOSE WHO PAID THE SUPREME PRIZE MAY YOUR  SACRIFICE NEVER BE IN VAIN.

I heard over on a youtube Hyde Park discussion, 20% of Christians leave Christianity statement.
So , naturally I google. And found out it is actually more than that.

According to the Hartford Institute of Religion Research, more than 40 percent of Americans “say” they go to church weekly. As it turns out, however, less than 20 percent are actually in church. In other words, more than 80 percent of Americans are finding more fulfilling things to do on weekends.
Furthermore, somewhere between 4,000 and 7,000 churches close their doors every year. Southern Baptist researcher, Thom Rainer, in a recent article entitled “13 Issues for Churches in 2013“ puts the estimate higher. He says between 8,000 and 10,000 churches will likely close this year.
Between the years 2010 and 2012, more than half of all churches in America added not one new member. Each year, nearly 3 million more previous churchgoers enter the ranks of the “religiously unaffiliated.”

Pew Research Center’s new Religious Landscape Study, a massive survey of more than 35,000 American adults. Over the last seven years, it found, the share of Americans who aren’t part of any religion has grown significantly, rising from 16 to nearly 23 percent of the population. A small portion of this group are atheists and agnostics—3 and 4 percent, respectively. More commonly, though, they are detached from organized religion altogether. When asked what religion they identify with, they answer simply: “Nothing in particular.” All in all, roughly one in ten Americans say religion is “not at all important” to them.

“How important is religion in your life?” The answers reveal that this group might be churchless, but it’s not wholly faithless: 44 percent said religion is “very” or “somewhat” important to them, while 56 percent said religion isn't important to them, according to Greg Smith, Pew’s associate director of research. This is a slight drop compared to findings from a similar survey taken in 2007: That year, 48 percent of the “nones” said religion was important to them, while 52 percent said it wasn’t.

Infinite regression

Infinite  regression or the other term is Homunculus Fallacy...

looks like latin mix.. :P

(also known as: homunculus argument, infinite regress)

Description: An argument that accounts for a phenomenon in terms of the very phenomenon that it is supposed to explain, which results in an infinite regress.
Logical Form:
Phenomenon X needs to be explained.
Reason Y is given.
Reason Y depends on phenomenon X.
Example #1:
Bert: How do eyes project an image to your brain?
Ernie: Think of it as a little guy in your brain watching the movie projected by your eyes.
Bert: Ok, but what is happening in the little guy in your head’s brain?
Ernie: Well, think of it as a little guy in his brain watching a movie...
Explanation: This fallacy creates an endless loop that actually explains nothing.  It is fallacious reasoning to accept an explanation that creates this kind of endless loop that lacks any explanatory value.
Example #2:
Dicky: So how do you think life began?
Ralphie: Simple.  Aliens from another planet seeded this planet with life billions of years ago.
Dicky: OK, but how did that alien life form begin?
Ralphie: Simple.  Aliens from another planet seeded that planet with life.
Explanation: This fallacy can be tricky because maybe it is true that aliens are responsible for spreading life, so the answers might be technically right, but the question implied is how life ultimately began, which this form of reasoning will not answer.
Exception: There might be some exceptions that rely on high-level epistemology having to do with a large enough loop and validating feedback.  The important question to ask is, does the explanation have any value and is the question being answered or deflected?

We are not saying men are above women. Men complement women and women complement men, its only at times that women do dumb things which you find less men doing the same.

Anyone remember the fisherman and his daughter who found and nursed a Dugong calf? But the local humanitarian community made such a hue and cry over the matter forcing the fisherman to release the poor helpless baby Dugong. Naturally it died, . Babies die when left in rubbish bins... so do Dugong calfs if left all by it self... They can but we can't.

Moses was not like Jesus.
But Jesus says he will send a comforter.

The Rich Young Man
28 Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, in the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for the sake of My name will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.…

The last will be first, refers to the followers of Prophet Muhammad, last in and first to be judge. On Judgement day.

The Rich Young Man above is a part of Matthew 19. Which also tells of Jesus teachings about divorce although Jesus himself never marries, yet, according to Muslims beliefs.

On divorce, this is what Jesus has to share:

Teachings about Divorce
(Mark 10:1-12)
When Jesus had finished saying these things, He left Galilee and went into the region of Judea beyond the Jordan. Large crowds followed Him, and He healed them there.
Then some Pharisees came and tested Him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?”
Jesus answered, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’a and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’bSo they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”
“Why then,” they asked, “did Moses order a man to give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?”
Jesus answered, “It was because of your hardness of heart that Moses permitted you to divorce your wives; but it was not this way from the beginning.
Now I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman, commits adultery.”c
10 His disciples said to Him, “If this is the case between a man and his wife, it is better not to marry.”
11 “Not everyone can accept this word,” Jesus answered, “but only those to whom it has been given.
12 For there are eunuchs who were born that way; others were made that way by men; and still others live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”

Anyway, let us see Deuteronomy 18: 18

A New Prophet
15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; 16 According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. 17 And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. 18I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. 20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. 21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? 22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

Now what is this all about you may ask.
Moses was not like Jesus.
But Jesus says he will send a comforter.

12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Muhammad sallallahu alai hii wassallammm.  Get the picture?

Who do you follow? Jesus or Paul?

We have to see the previous post about on Matthew 23 which spoke about hypocrisy.

Matthew's Gospel tells that Jesus preached the Law of Moses and that Jesus also said, listen to the scribes and the pharisees but do not follow or do what they do because they are liars.

Now let us look at what Paul teaches.

In 1 Corinthians 9, Paul teaches that he will do anything within his discretion to do anything he wants as long as his intention is met.

Quote from 1 Corinthians 9 :

Paul’s Use of His Freedom

19 Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20 To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21 To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. 23 I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

Note at verse 23, Paul claims to preach the Gospel... but whose Gospel was Paul preaching?

His own laws actually because he change the Laws of Jesus and Moses completely!

I think this is why Jews don't accept Christianity although Christians accept Jewry.

Please explain, Matthew ‘s Gospel  which
says  Jesus preached Judaism  or  Moses’s Law for the Jews.
That  is if  Jews practice Judaism,  otherwise,  Jesus preached Moses’s Laws.  Or the  Ten Commandments,  but  I  am sure there is more to this than the  ten  commandments.
1Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to His disciples: 2“The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3So practice and observe everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.…
Even  Jesus admits  that the Scribes and Pharisees  never observe Moses’s  Laws.  : Matthew  23: 3,
Matthew 23-  New International version
A Warning Against Hypocrisy
1Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: 2“The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. 4They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.
5“Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteriesa wide and the tassels on their garments long; 6they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; 7they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others.
8“But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. 9And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. 10Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. 11The greatest among you will be your servant.12For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

I was watching  Total Recall 2012 just now, but I couldn’t watch till the end. I am scared I might loose all inspiration that is pouring in so I am here typing.

What did I recall? For starters, the old comics in the Malay Mail and Sunday Mail of the 60s and 70s. Unedited and uncensored. Such as Modesty Blaise and Garth , the man of mystery. Garth is special. He travelled thru all dimensions. Much like Angels do,  I suppose.

One character in Total Recall triggered the memory banks. The triple breasted woman from the original Total Recall of Arnold Swazzenegger.  I remember such a character from the Garth comics, but that character has more breast, I think. The setback is, the bottom half is like an Octupus… :P

Another  thing  that I wanted  to say is the size of the Star Wars battleships.

Huge aren’t they? As long as 17,000 metres! As the illustration says.

What has Star Wars space ships to tell us? For one thing,  Warp Speed. Now that reminds me of the Prophets Night Journey, and the Ascension up to Heaven and beyond. Another thing is the size of the Space Destroyers.

If we know about Angels, Arch Angel Gabriel is said to be so big  he will fill the whole  sky. You can turn anywhere and he would be everywhere you look. But is Gabriel the biggest Angel?

No. Gabriel is not the biggest Angel. Angel Israfel is bigger than Gabriel. How big? You may ask?

Descriptions of Angels are, they have wings. What or how the wings looks like, we don’t know. Just accept that Angels have wings. Now if Gabriel is big, he would be hidden just by one of Israfel wings. Imagine. But is Israfel the largest Angel? No. There are 8 Angels holding up the Throne of ALLAH. And Israfel can be hidden by only one of these Angels’ wing!

Now this is where the idea and size of the Star Destroyers came from.

Here I provide a link to descriptions of Angels.

Have you heard  the story of Lot?
What did you hear about the story of Prophet Lot?
Well, the Islamic version has the City of Sodom  overturned. Naturally overturned by the Angels.
The Dead Sea is probably the location of Sodom. Pictured is the Dead Sea.

I am just saying this to illustrate  the size of Angels.

That is only the introduction. Below is the real story.

The beloved Prophet Muhammad may peace be upon him, in the early days of Prophethood, went to Ta’if to teach Islam to the People there. But the people of Ta’if rejected our beloved Prophet and instigated their children and slaves to stone our beloved Prophet.

Our beloved Prophet bled as a result of the sharp stones.
Our beloved Prophet bled so much that with every step, came with the sloshing of the blood and his slippers.

Arch Angel Gabriel witnessed the proceedings and came to Our beloved Prophet, saying may I introduce you to someone?
Our beloved Prophet said, yes and Arch Angel Gabriel brought the Angels of Mountains to meet Our beloved Prophet.
The Angel of Mountains said, if you want and with your permission, let me overturn the Town of Ta’if as punishment for their audacity and insolence!

What do you think did Our beloved Prophet reply? Our beloved Prophet  said to Angel Gabriel, “No. I rather hope that Allah will raise from among their descendants people who will worship Allah the One, and will not ascribe partners to Him.”

Why am I telling this? This is in response to accusations that our Prophet Muhammad was an evil man. How can such a man be labeled evil? Our beloved Prophet is not known to hit anyone. Be it his wives, or his friends and companions. A’aisha herself confirms this. The reason you read that the Prophet hit his wife is because of translations. Misconstruing translations is the cause of the confusion.

I copied the following from http://saudigazette.com.sa/article/178798/The-other-side-of-the-Prophets-story-in-Taif

When Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) called the people to Islam in Makkah, he was opposed by the leaders of the tribes of Quraysh. The Prophet (peace be upon him) was ridiculed and those who converted to Islam were persecuted and tortured. The people of Quraysh boycotted the Muslims for three years, and the Muslims suffered from sickness, hunger, and poverty. In the same year, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) lost his two strongest supporters and sources of comfort, his wife, Khadijah, and his uncle, Abu Talib.

Without the protection of his uncle, Abu Talib, in Makkah, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) needed to reach out and seek support beyond the city of Makkah. He (peace be upon him) wanted to spread the message to the people of Taif, in hopes that they would believe and accept the message of Islam. He trekked from Makkah to Taif to invite the people to the belief in One God.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) met with the chiefs of the major tribe in Taif, Thaqeef tribe. He (peace be upon him) told them about Islam, worshipping only one God, and leaving idol worshipping. They rejected his message and insulted him. Not only did they refuse to listen to his message, but they unleashed the children of their tribe to throw stones at him and drive him out of their town. With people jeering at him as his ankles bled, he ran out, finding shelter in an empty orchard.

Alone, bleeding, and rejected, he (peace be upon him) rests on a rock and prays to Allah. He (peace be upon him) is so compassionate and merciful, he does not ask Allah to punish the people of Taif or to execute revenge against them.

The supplication he (peace be upon him) said at Taif should be memorized by all Muslims and repeated by us every time we are in a difficult situation or have been wronged or when calamity strikes.

“To You, my Lord, I complain of my weakness, lack of support, and the humiliation I am made to receive. Most Compassionate and Merciful, You are the Lord of the weak, and You are my Lord. To whom do You leave me? To a distant person who receives me with hostility? Or to an enemy You have given power over me? As long as you are not displeased with me, I do not care what I face. I would, however, be much happier with Your mercy. I seek refuge in the light of Your face by which all darkness is dispelled and both this life and the life to come are put in their right course against incurring your wrath or being the subject of your anger. To You I submit, until I earn Your pleasure. Everything is powerless without your support.”

At that moment, Angel Jibreel came to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and told him that if he wished, Allah could order an angel to collapse the two mountains surrounding the people of Taif and crush them.

How did Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) react to those who had insulted him and threw stones at him? He (peace be upon him) opted for mercy not violence towards them. He was not overcome with rage or hate. Instead of seeking revenge against the people of Taif, he said to Angel Jibreel, “I rather hope that Allah will raise from among their descendants people who will worship Allah the One, and will not ascribe partners to Him.”

We look to Taif today and we come to appreciate our Prophet’s vision, patience, and mercy. Today Taif has a population of 1,200,000 people, predominantly Muslim. Taif is the summer capital of Saudi Arabia, and it is known for its grapes, pomegranate, figs, roses, and honey. Anyone living in Saudi Arabia loves to visit Taif for its cooler weather and the beautiful scenery of its mountains.

When reading the history, the incident of Taif is often mentioned only with negative connotations. This is understandable because it was one of the most painful and hurtful incidents in the Prophet’s lifetime, but actually some good did come out of it on that day, and the message of Islam did not fall entirely on deaf ears. Someone did accept the message of Islam at that time in Taif, but he is not always mentioned in the books on the Prophet’s life.

When Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) sat on the rock, raising his hands to Allah, the two owners of the orchard saw him and so they sent their slave with a bunch of grapes to give to the Prophet (peace be upon him).

The slave’s name was Addas and he was a young Christian man. When Addas gave the Prophet the grapes, he heard the Prophet say, “In the name of Allah,” before he ate. Addas was surprised and curious because he never heard anyone say such words before. The Prophet asked Addas where he was from and Addas answered that he was from Nineveh.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “The land of Jonah the Just, son of Matta.”

The young man was bewildered that this man, Muhammad, knew of Prophet Jonah. After informing the Prophet that he was a Christian, Addas then asked the Prophet who he was and how he had such knowledge.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Jonah is my brother. He was a prophet and I am a prophet.”

Addas was amazed; he knew that this man indeed had to be a prophet. Addas kissed the Prophet’s head and hands and he immediately accepted Islam. So, the Prophet’s mission to Taif was not totally fruitless. One man, Addas, had whole heartedly embraced Islam after meeting and speaking with the Prophet (peace be upon him).

The lesson we can take from this incident is to never belittle any effort or act of goodness. Persevere and do your part. Work sincerely and do what you know is right, regardless of what the outcome may be, and sooner or later, the results will come.
